What you are paying for
Our private tours include transportation, hotel pickup and drop-off in the agreed service area, an English-speaking driver/local host, air conditioning, bottled water and applicable taxes. The vehicle is for your group.
You are also choosing to leave the driving and route planning to someone else. That may be especially useful if you prefer not to drive during your holiday. It does not mean every extra or every possible stop is included.
Compare group prices fairly
Elafonisi Express starts at €320 from Chania or €390 from Rethymno for 1–4 people. With 5–8 people, the corresponding group prices are €390 and €460. The honey tour costs €450 or €520 for 1–4 guests, and €520 or €590 for 5–8 guests, from Chania and Rethymno respectively.
For example, the advertised €320 Chania Express price shared by four guests is €80 each. The booking remains one private group booking; the price does not drop to €80 for a solo traveller. Final quotes account for pickup, vehicle and season.
Express or the honey experience?
Choose Express if the beach is the priority and you prefer fewer planned stops. From Rethymno it still takes approximately 8 hours, so it is not a short half-day outing.
Choose the full-day tour for a broader Western Crete experience. The advertised package includes the Stathakis Family honey experience and tasting, together with the Topolia Gorge scenic route. Lunch is separate.
When another option may suit you
If you want the lowest possible individual transport cost and do not need flexibility, compare shared excursions and available public transport. If you enjoy independent driving, compare a rental vehicle plus its practical costs. Check current providers directly rather than relying on an old fare or timetable.
Before booking any option, compare total time, actual pickup location, beach time, cancellation terms and all exclusions. Those details matter more than the headline price alone.
